This NFL Series 7 Figure of Jeremy Shockey wearing the Blue Jersey of the New York (Football) Giants has one of the most unusual poses we have seen to date, although you would think they would have done this with a wide receiver instead of a tight end. This McFarlane Toys figure was released in October 2003, which gives Giants fans the option of thinking this is the Shockey who was an impact player as a rookie in the 2002 season or who was often disappointing as a sophomore in 2003. In other words if he is the former then he probably makes the catch, but if he is the later this ball is going to bounce away from him. We will have to see if the third season is a charm or a curse for Shockey, who is now Eli Manning's teammate.
This 6-inch figure certainly looks like a tight end. McFarlane tends to over do the dirt on the jerseys of its baseball figures, but on Shockey is looks right. I am surprised there is not a clump of turf stock in his facemask. But could that be blood on his pants along with the ground in dirt? This figure has a set of pins, one that has Shocky perched on his toes as he does his sideline dance and the other that keeps the ball off of his fingertips. Make sure the pin fits into the base plate securely or he is going to fall over (before he controls the ball). The details on the official NFL Wilson football are pretty impressive as well, as well as the pylon, but then it has always been the details that have made McFarlane's figures standout.Get more detail about McFarlane Toys NFL Sports Picks Series 7 Action Figure Jeremy Shockey (New York Giants) Blue Jersey.
